A great place to start a guided tour for your group is in Piazza Vecchia where you can admire Palazzo della Regione, Palazzo del Podest\u00e0 and Campanone. Another unmissable square is that of the beautiful cathedral \u201cDuomo\u201d with the Basilica of Santa Maria and the Colleoni Chapel.<\/p>\n

Moving towards lower Bergamo an interesting visit to the Carrara Academy, one of the most beautiful Italian museums is always interesting. A relaxing lunch in one of the cute typical restaurants will make your guests happy and they can try some local dishes such as polenta and osei (polenta and beans), casoncelli (special \u00a0pasta) and finally a sweet treat of stracciatella, the ice cream that was born right here.<\/p>\n

But Bergamo is also famous for the Venetian Walls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounding the medieval city. You will be able to walk the 5 kilometers of walls and on a clear day, even see Milan using one of the telescopes \u00a0positioned along the route!<\/p>\n

If you have time, an interesting \u00a0visit \u00a0to the nearby village of Crespi D\u2019Adda. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its history and architecture, it is the best-preserved workers’ village in southern Europe.<\/p>\n
